I can say that I am slightly addiction to facebook and twitter. Definetely more so to twitter, but facebook is my life saver during the day... Its my break for sanity at work... (*gasp she goes on it at work?!*). Yes, I admit I am on-line while I am at work... I need a break from the quoting, and the calls and the customers... I need to see other "people" and their daily goings on... and the way I figure...I dont smoke. So this is my "cigarette break" :-) anywho...
I was thinking last night about how many people on facebook, twitter, myspace, blogs, etc... put their business out there. When they are fighting with their best friends- they say so in their status update message. When their husband didnt pick his socks up from the bedroom floor- they tweet. When their kids are yelling and screaming- they blog. I want to ask... when is it too much?
My mom told me many years ago that when her and my father got divorsed... No one in her family could believe it.. She never told them the stories of anything that went on in their relationship. You didn't air your dirty laundry. Period.
Now adays (and I am completely guilty of it... tho I try and not name names when I am upset about something and decide to blog, update status, tweet, etc... about it... I just used generalities) we have no shame, we will at the first hint of anger, hurt, fear whatever... will call a person out on any social media site!
Now I completely understand people blog about their family... I do too. I have another blogsite that I do this thru... but I also have very few people that know about this blog, because it is where I go to vent my issues that I may be having. I also tweet. I joke and say twitter is my sanity... but sometimes it is... when I am having a bad day, fighting with my kids, am heart broken, frustrated, whatever... I will tweet... and tweet like crazy sometimes... and tho I may have 230 followers... very few of them are people I know in "real life". And I also make sure I dont use real names when I tweet...
Why do we feel like we have put all of our business about how horrible things are in our life... our husbands, our jobs, our kids, etc... Are we trying to make everyone feel sorry for us? Are we doing it so that way if we do something else (cheat, divorse, quit, yell, hit etc)
Some things are ment to stay between you and your family/close friends.... Not with 120 people you knew from highschool/family/and complete strangers.
I know I am completely guilty of this too... I tell more than I should about things that I don't need to be.... but maybe before posting that next update... ask yourself... do I really need to post this???
An overthinking mama of 5 kids, and who knows how many more. My thoughts on life, being married, being a mom, faith, and anything in between.

Should she tell?
Dear Diary,
So a friend of mine called me last night for advice. This is something that was weighing heavy on her chest and she needed a lil advice... I really wasnt sure what to tell her...
Her Story:
T was married at the time. She is now divorsed but not for the reason from this story. He husband worked 2nd shift and she first. So they didnt get to see much of each other during the week. Her neighbors (L) husband used to stop by and hang out with T in the evening or nights, especially after L went to sleep. Everything was cool. Then one night L's husband kissed T. They made out. Gropping was involved. That was it. That was the end of it. T made sure she was busy most of the time when L's husband would wanna stop by or anything. Years have passed. Both L and T are divorsed now and are very good friends. Back when the issue happened. They new each other, hung out from time to time, but werent super super close. Now T is trying to figure out if she should tell L about what happened with her husband YEARS ago or if she should just let it go. If she tells she might lose a friend. Cause more issues for L and her husband. L might go and tell T's ex-husband and then there will be issues there.
I am not really sure what to tell her.
Is she just wanting to tell L because of her own personal guilt she is feeling?
Is it worth telling T?
Will it make a difference to T that her husband cheated with her friend?
Your opinion?

Friends...
I sit here and think about all of my friends... everyone in my life time that I have befriended... and its amazing how some of these people have managed to stay in my life and me in theirs... and others we have drifted apart and then have reconnected via facebook or myspace or where ever...
I have one friend... that I met when I was 15... We were boyfriend and girlfriend for exactly a month and in that time I think we maybe seen each other once?! twice?! The amazing thing is... even after 13 years... we have still managed to stay in contact and remain friends thru everything. Psycho girlfriends, over bearing boyfriends, protective parents, time and miles that grew more and more each days... We have always manage to find each other and stay connected.
Then I have one friend that I have know since I was 1 1/2 and she was born... We grew up across the street from each other and were the bestest of friends.. We did everything together... but over time we went our separate ways. Then because it is truly a small world.. we connected again thru another friend and we became friends again. But not like we were. We see each other once in a while, talk on the phone once in awhile... but we both have families now... we both have our own busy lives and its not always easy to stay as close as we once were...
Then their are of course the school friends... The people that you talked to in your classes at school, or at least you knew in school.. Not exactly people you want to be friends with or really hang out with.. but you know who they are... then all of a sudden one day you see them on facebook or myspace and they have sent you a friend request or you send them one... you never talk to the person.. but just want to know if your life is better than theirs... if they ended up staying the same or changing... you just are nosy... or you just want to look popular and have all these "friends" to make yourself better...
What constitutes a good friend... We were talking about this in Church/Bible Study yesterday...
Is it someone who always is there for you thru anything.. even if its wrong??
Is it someone who will tell you that what you are doing is wrong and cant be apart of it??
Is it someone who will get drunk with you and have those good times?? but when the times get tough.. they seem to disappear?
Is it someone who is willing to sacrifice time, energy, money to help you, be there for you???
Is it someone who is only there with THEY need something... when THEY have a problem and need YOUR help?
Is it someone one who when you try and talk to them about a problem in your life... it always gets turned around to whats wrong in theirs and how you can help them?
Is it someone who just loves you for you?
Is it someone who even after months or years of not talking/seeing/communicating you still consider them a good friend and would do anything to help them?
Is is someone that even after any amount of time will call you/email you out of the blue, just to see how you are doing?
What exactly is a good friend to you??
I have friends that meet all of these things... Some meet one or two.. Some meet most of these... Some are good friends that I know no matter what, no matter the situations.. they will be there.. they wont be too tired.. in a bad mood.. too busy to help me... they will be there.
Some are good friends, some are sometimes Friends and some are best friends... Some I know no matter what... we will never NOT be friends.

Today was alright... I was over tired and over crabby! lol. Not a good mix with kids!
It was a stressful day at work and I have some personal issues I am trying to work thru and manage.
Afterwork I went and picked up S. She forgot her babydoll at the sitter, so I had to run back there and get that for her. Went to pick up P from my dads. He didnt want to leave... so I had to argue with him about that... And he didnt do his homework, like I had asked him to do before I got there. Finally got both kids loaded into the car and head home.
As we walked in the car, my friend arrived to bring our Christmas tree. This was the first time my kids had ever me my friend A and P was excited but of course S was scared out of her mind. So she came running to me and wouldnt let me put her down for anything.
While A was bringing in the tree I kept telling P to sit down and do his home work... He kept having to do something... this or that... or needed me to read part of his homework to him. I kept telling him just to do what he could first then, when I was done, i would help with the rest. Well that wasn't good enough and he wasn't going to do it at all.
My friend T showed up to pick up some Christmas decorations that I had for her, and we started talking and she was explaining things going on in her life and over an hour went by. It was 8 oclock and my kids still hadn't ate dinner, did homework, have a bath and it was already bed time!!! So I yelled for P to come and do his homework, and of course he had to play like he didn't know how to do anything! Didnt know his days of the week, didnt know how to write a date (yet has been doing this for over a month now) Then he couldn't find a pencil that worked or anything else to write with and he didn't want to use a pen! So I was finally completley frustrated and told him fine... dont do your homework you can just go to bed, and get in trouble at school tomorrow for not having it done and then you will get in trouble at home for being in trouble at school! So finally he sat down and started doing it. I was trying to get dinner together for them and get S situatied in her seat and started to eat. While I was doing that my friend A came in and started helping P with his homework... It was hilarious. P acted like he didn't have a clue on how to do things... I just kept my mouth shut, at least it wasn't an argument. I got S into bath and then ready for bed. P got dinner and some hot cocoa compliments of A.
By 930... I was exhausted... both kids in bed... P sound asleep, S singing in her crib. I was vegged out in a dark family room sitting on my couch.
I hope Tuesday is better. (even tho tuesdays are always tired days for me!)

cAN YOU BE FRIENDS WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX?
When you are in a relationship... Can you still be friends and hang out with the opposite sex?
Do you have to give up your best friends just because they are a boy or a girl? Do you have to stop hanging out with them on a one and one basis just because you got a new "love" ? Is it disrespectful to your new "love" to hang out with your friend? What if you have been intimate with this friend? Does that change things?
I want to get opinions on this...
I think as long as there is trust there... It should be ok for you to still hang out with your friends... male or female... as long as trust hasnt been broken and as long as the friend comes around the love interst and is at least considerate and respectful to your love interest...
Does your love interest have the right to ask you not to hang out with someone that you have been friends with before them? To tell you who you should and should not hang out with?

past people...
Its funny how one time... sometime ago.. a certain person... was your friend... you two were almost identical... had the same morals, the same principles, the same ideas, the same goals, the same dreams, wants, desires... etc.... then one day.... it all just stopped... something happened... life happened... you got a mate... you had a baby... you found God... you lost a loved one... something changed in the relationship.. something changed in you or in them... and you both drifted in different directions...
and you look back and miss that person.. miss the relationship that you had with them... and look at you life now.. and look at their life... could you guys possible be friends again... you have such different lives now... but there was once a connection between you two... the same flame burned in your souls... and you have you past together... is that enough...
its amazing how much people can change over time... amazing how their morals, their thought process the things that made you be friend with in the first place can change... or is it you that has changed? or maybe both... it is amazing how at one moment in your life... you had everything in common with a certain person... and now nothing at all...
i have always had the thought taht people come in and out of our life all the time... and everyone in your life has a certain purpose.. you may not ever know what that purpose is... but there is one.. to make you happy... to remind you of good things...to show you bad... to make you weak... to make you stronger... God has a plan for it all...
Certain people in my life... i can almost pinpoint exactly why God brought them to me... and others i wonder why ... what is the purpose of the relationship... but i know there is one...
some of my friends... are true friends... will be there for me no matter what... no matter what stupid choices i make... they are there... for parties... for weddings... for funerals... good times and bad... they are there... then there are party friends... are only there for the good times... the fun times... yea they might toleate a break up with ya... but they wouldnt be there at midnite when you are crying yourself to sleep... but you wanna go out drinking at midnite... they are all for it.. there are the friends that have always been there in your life... but still have come and gone... best friends for a month... then off for a few months.. get a new love interest... and forget you are their friend... they break up... and you are best friends all over again...
I guess you jus have to learn to love everyone in your life... and realize that every person is not you.. and can not be how you want them to be... everyone changes. everyone moves on eventually.. you will too.. dont judge someone because of their faults in your eyes... i am sure you have faults in their eyes too... does that make you any less then them???
